How to register a domain name for your website?

A domain name is a website name that belongs fully to you. For example it would not be registersite.blogspot.com, it would actually be registersite.com. You would want to have a domain name to have a more personalized website. It also shows professionalism and make it look good. But before we get to registering for a domain name, you should know how to make a web site. For information on how to create your very own website please click on the "How to create my own website link?" in the side bar on the right. Anyway moving on to domain names. First of all you need to find a good web hosting company. I would suggest using "godaddy.com" or "Yahoo Webhosting". For this article I will be using "godaddy.com". To start off, go to "godaddy.com". On the front page you will see a search bar. Write the domain name (name of your site) you would like to use. Then click go. If the name is available then you will proceed to checkout. If the name is unavailable then the site will give you alternative choices. You can either choose one of those alternatives or you can retry the search with another name. Anyway after you have chosen your domain name, scroll down the page and click proceed to checkout. Following that enter your personal information pertaining to your credit card, name, etc, and then you are finished! Congratulations you have yourself a domain name!
